The museum is closed on Midsummer’s Eve, but open public holiday that falls during regular opening hours.

Admission: 140 kr
Admission for students and seniors: 120 kr
Children (0–15 years old): free
Kulturarvskortet (Svenskt Kulturarv): 50 % discount on full price
Free admission: ICOM, SMI and RSM membercard. SVB-nyckeln and Press.
Guided tour is included in the admission.

Backpacks and large bags are not allowed in the museum. Limited access to unattended wardrobe, lockers are not available. Walking sticks and umbrellas are left in designated place. Food and drink are not allowed inside the museum building.

For fire safety reasons, the number of people who can be in the building at the same time is limited. On occasions with large numbers of visitors, a queuing system is applied.

Getting here

The museum is situated at Lögebodavägen 10 in Bellevue park, on the hill between Wenner-Gren Center and Brunnsviken. Follow the green direction signs through the park.

Public transportations: subway or commuter train to Stockholm Odenplan or Tekniska Högskolan followed by 15-20 minute walk or bus from Odenplan. Buss 2 towards Norrtull and bus 515 with bus stop Sveaplan, or bus 50 towards Stora Lappkärrsberget, bus stop Roslagstull. 5-10 minutes walk from bus stops.

By car: Drive Roslagsvägen north from Stockholm towards Albano, make a left u-turn at the red light at Kräftriket and drive in right lane back towards the city. Turn right from Rostagstulls roundabout up the hill through Bellevuevägen. Drive by yellow houses, Pasch malmgård and continue driving down the road. The museum is situated at the right side of the road down the hill towards Brunnsviken. Parking lmax 2 hours in direct connection to museum. Parking fee is paid by parking app. There are parking lots at Brunnsviksvägen and by Wenner-Gren Center.

Accessibility 

Paths in the garden have gravel surface. Museums entrance is reached via a staircase with two low steps and a handrail. There is a ramp for walkers and manual wheelchairs. The museum building is on one level and has low thresholds throughout. Portable museum stools are available, and there are also a few fixed seats.

Visitor toilet is not wheelchair-accessible and is only available for visitors who are in the building. Nerest public toilet is found near the football field where Lögebodavägen meets Brunnsviksvägen in Bellevueparken, about 200 m from the museum.

Dogs on leash are welcome in the museum garden but not inside the museum, except for guide dogs. Baby strollers are not allowed inside the museum. Stroller can be left in the garden.

Public tours

Daily guided tour in English at 13.30 and every hour on the hour in Swedish during opening hours. The tour is approximately 20 minutes and included in the admission fee.

Book guided tour

Guided tour, 60 minutes and maximum 30 people, can be booked outside the museums opening hours. It is not possible to join the tours of other groups. Book at least one week beforehand.

Weekday at 09.00–16.00: 2 500 kr
Weekday at 16.15–20.00: 3 500 kr
Weekend at 09.00–20.00: 3 500 kr
The price includes admission fee.

Book sculpture walk

Thematic city tour focusing on public art in specific areas, ca 90 minutes for max 30 peoples

School

Guided tours for preschool and school classes can be booked outside museum opening hours, sculpture walks on weekdays 9-16.

Café

Drinks and sweet treats are available for self-service. Sitting area in the garden. Same opening hours as the museum.

Family

Treasure hunt for children can be borrowed at the entrance. Family programs is founde under Program.

Photography 

Artworks in the museum and museum garden are protected by copyright (SFS 1960:729). Unauthorized publication entails compensation liability for copyright infringement and/or money damage.

Taking photos for private use is allowed. Filming, using flash, professional equipment or tripod is not allowed. Remember to show consideration for other visitors, ongoing tours and programs. Staged photo shoots are not allowed.

Remember not to post photos of museum staff or other visitors without their consent due to GDPR.

Wedding

Civil marriage can be arranged in the museum, with some restrictions. Ceremony can also be arranged in the garden.

Museum rentals

It is possible to rent the museum garden in connection to pre-booked guided tour. Food and drinks can be served outdoors, arranged by the person booking. Price on request.
